To Ixchell
A small boutique. A considered collection. A decade of quiet devotion.
It began in 2014 with a pushcart at Raffles Place and a genuine love of jade. There was no grand plan — just two people, a small display of stones, and the slow accumulation of friendships with people who cared about the same things we did.
Those early customers became regulars. Regulars became friends. And what started as a hobby quietly became something more — a small, considered business helping people find and commission pieces that meant something to them.
Then COVID arrived. For three years, there was no pushcart, no shopfront, no foot traffic. We survived on trust — meeting customers one at a time, by appointment, because they believed in us enough to keep showing up.
In 2024, on our tenth anniversary, we finally moved into a proper space. Unit #02-33 at The Adelphi. It is still small. But it is ours — and for the first time, we have room enough to welcome the people who carried us here.

The living stone
No Screen
Does It Justice
Natural jadeite is deeply reactive to light. Its colour shifts with the hour, with the weather, with the warmth of the skin beneath it. No photograph, no ring-light, no digital display has ever told the full truth of a fine stone.
This is why we do not sell online. It must be seen in person. Held in the hand. Placed against skin in natural light.

We are not a gallery you need an appointment to enter. Walk in. Take your time. We will make tea, show you what is new, and let the stones speak for themselves.
No pressure. No performance. Just two people who love what they do.

Frequently Asked Questions About Jadeite
Where can I find you?
The Adelphi, #02-33, 1 Coleman Street, Singapore. Directly opposite Funan, a short walk from City Hall MRT. All viewings are in-store — we do not ship.
Is everything certified Type A?
Yes. Every piece is 100% natural, untreated Type A jadeite. Prior to launch, all our pieces are pre-certified by the Nan Yang Gemological Institute (NGI). For complete peace of mind, we also welcome independent re-certification from other trusted Singapore authorities, including Far East Gemological Laboratory and Raffles GemLab.
Why must I see it in person?
Natural jadeite is deeply reactive to light. No screen can render its true translucency or colour. It must be held in the hand, in natural light, against skin.
Ixchell is drawn from ancient Mayan mythology — the goddess of the moon, of water, and of the quiet, enduring forces that govern life beneath the surface. She was not a goddess of spectacle. She was a goddess of depth.
We chose her name because it reflects what we believe about jadeite. The finest stones are not the loudest. They reveal themselves slowly — through translucency, through the way light moves beneath the surface, through the warmth they carry when held against the skin. Like the moon, their beauty is patient.
Four characters. Each chosen with care.
翡 — jadeite, the stone itself. 坊 — a workshop, an artisan's quarter, a place where things are made by hand. 翠 — the deep emerald green particular to the finest jadeite, a colour with no direct equivalent in any other language. 藝 — art, mastery, the discipline earned only through years of patient attention.
Together, they describe not a shop, but a practice. A place where the craft of reading stone is taken seriously, and where every piece is understood before it is offered.
The Ixchell emblem is formed from an endless interwoven knot — a form with no beginning and no end, symbolising continuity, heritage, and the enduring journey of every treasured piece.
Surrounding the knot are four leaves, one at each compass point — harmony, prosperity, renewal, and grace. In many traditions, the four directions together signify completeness: nothing left out, nothing overlooked.
Together, the emblem carries a single belief: that true jewellery is more than adornment. It is a story — one that begins with the earth, passes through skilled hands, and is carried forward across generations by the people who choose to wear it.
